  • Life Cover, Critical Illness Cover & TPD –  HSBC will offer standard rate decisions, increase to the premium or be unable to provide a quote.

There are some rules that apply across all applicants with a history of gout – that would not result in HSBC being able to offer Life Cover, Critical Illness Cover or TPD at the current time. Such as:

  • Any outstanding hospital referrals, reviews or investigations
  • Both hypertension (raised blood pressure) & kidney problems

This is a general guide and is not a guarantee of acceptance.

NB        If more than one toe or finger is affected, count these as one joint
