HSBC Life has been made aware that fraudsters are attempting to mislead potential investors with a fake cloned product called the HSBC Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Bond.
This is not an HSBC Life product – it’s a fraudulent scam which we have reported to the Financial Conduct Authority.
The fraudsters are using a false website URL, www.assetmanagement-hsbc.com to try and mislead clients and capture personal details.
We have worked with our Asset Management business and confirmed that this is related to similar cases of brand cloning that they have experienced. They have reported the matter to the Financial Conduct Authority too.
Fake contact details
Fake email addresses and telephone numbers have been set up by the fraudsters as below in an attempt to impersonate Head of Onshore Bond Distribution at HSBC Life (UK) Limited, Mark Lambert.
Please do not respond to any of these:
Email address
bonds@hsbc-wm.com
Phone number
01908 087 512
Named contacts
Mark Lambert
