Heart attack, angina or stroke

Heart attack, angina or stroke

Family history of heart attack, angina or stroke

  • Life Cover, Critical Illness Cover & TPD –  HSBC will offer standard rate decisions, increase to the premium or be unable to provide a quote (if associated with other conditions).

There are some rules that apply across all applicants with a family history of heart attack, angina or stroke – that would not result in HSBC being able to offer Life Cover, Critical Illness Cover or TPD at the current time. Such as:

  • The applicant being under age 65 with family history in more than 2 immediate family members.

This is a general guide and is not a guarantee of acceptance.

NB: The decision will vary based on the age of the applicant and the age of the family history was diagnosed.
